Emma trained with one of the largest law firms in Cork qualifying as a solicitor in 1998. Since then she has worked both in Dublin and Cork. She joined the firm in June 2017. Emma has extensive experience in Litigation and Family Law including cases in the High Court, Central Criminal Court and Supreme Court. Emma handles cases across the litigation spectrum and has acted for large multi-nationals, international financial institutions and for and on behalf of the State. Emma’s area of expertise includes representing clients in all courts in relation to Personal Injuries (Road Traffic Accidents, Accidents at work, Medical Negligence on behalf of Plaintiff’s, Insurance Claims), Employers Liability, Public Liability, Breach of Contract, Family Law and Criminal Law.
Emma has an Advanced Certificate in Criminal Law from the Law Society of Ireland and represents private Clients in the District Criminal Courts.
Emma was elected to the Council of the Southern Law Association (SLA) in 2013 and serves on the SLA Litigation Committee. Emma is Chair of the SLA Family Law Committee and has been a Committee member of the Cork Family Lawyers Association since 2014. Emma was appointed to the Complaints and Clients Relations Committee of the Law Society of Ireland in 2016.
Emma has lectured and tutored for the Law Society of Ireland in the areas of Civil, Criminal and Business law.
