A 30 km/h speed limit zone is being introduced for Cork City Centre.
As and from the 16th of November, 2011 a 30 km/h speed limit zone has been introduced in the following St. Patrick’s Street, Grand Parade, Oliver Plunkett Street, North Main Street, Cornmarket Street and adjacent streets. A map detailing same can be found on the Cork County Council Website or by clicking here.
Cork County Council have stated that “(t)he purpose of the 30 km/h zone is to give the City Centre a higher profile in terms of being pedestrian/shopper/visitor friendly.”
