Litigation & Dispute Resolution*

SERVICE OVERVIEW

Conflicting rights and the resolution of disputes require a well informed knowledge of the law and a practical approach to the difficulties that have arisen.  It is important that legal advice is obtained at an early stage so as to avoid a situation where you may prejudice your position and the result you wish to achieve.  It will also help to dispel unreasonable expectations.   The appropriate advice at an early stage may also prevent the escalation of a dispute.

We have a team of solicitors with vast experience in litigation and dispute resolution.  We have advised and represented clients in all courts and in relation to many and varied disputes and conflicts including;

  • Personal Injury Claims
  • Employment and Workplace issues
  • Defamation
  • Breach of Contract
  • Consumer Protection
  • Insurance Disputes and claims
  • Licensing and regulatory matters
  • Building, property and construction disputes
  • Trespass
  • Ownership and commercial dispute

While everyone will know something of the courts system, we can provide practical knowledge and experience of the system in operation grounded and informed by the relevant legal principles.  Where further specialist assistance is required, we can introduce Barristers, Engineers, Doctors and other expert witnesses to assist you in preparing, presenting and concluding your case.

Recent legislative changes have placed an onus on parties to a dispute to engage in alternative forms of dispute resolution.  These would include arbitration, conciliation and mediation procedures.  We can advise you as to how these processes might work and assist you through the exercise.
